The intersection of Information Technology and small organizations can be a dangerous one. 'blinks are like flashing amber traffic lights--little warnings that I've picked up on the Web. Let's all help keep these intersections accident-free.
Even though Microsoft's Internet Explorer is the "default" web browser for most people (75 percent as of 9/2005), there are other, much better browsers available. In December 2004, FireFox was released and quickly gained market share. It's now at 18 percent. Opera has been around since 1995, but the crazy Norwegians that developed it expected us to pay for it! Imagine that! As a result, Opera has garnered a microscopic 1 percent share. But now they have seen the light and are distributing Opera v8.5 for free with no annoying ads or other clutter. (Watch their market share go up now.) All of this history is merely edification. Here's the main message: TRY Opera. It has features that other browsers don't, including a cool thing called "sessions" which allows you to open up and login to several web sites all at once. 0 Comments(s): Click to post your comment. + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - +
